By AccessWDUN Staff
A Dahlonega man has been identified as the victim of a fatal vehicle accident on Highway 60 Business just north of Dahlonega, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

SFC Curtis Bradshaw with the Cumming Post of the Georgia State Patrol said troopers responded to the scene near Anderson Drive in Lumpkin County around 5:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25.

"A 2007 Dodge Dakota pickup driven by 57-year-old Robert Lee Kukua, of Dahlonega, was traveling south on SR 60 Business," Bradshaw said in a press statement. "The Dakota traveled off the road to the left onto the east shoulder. The Dakota struck an embankment, overturned and struck a tree."

Bradshaw said investigating troopers believe a medical condition might have caused Kukua to leave the roadway.

The victim died at the scene, according to Bradshaw. He said Kukua was wearing his seat belt and he was the only person in the vehicle.
