Drivers can expect delays if they have to take Browns Bridge Road/Ga. 369 between Hall and Forsyth counties Wednesday evening.
One lane will be closed across the entirety of the bridge between 7 p.m. Wednesday until 6 a.m. Thursday, said Katie Strickland, Georgia Department of Transportation spokeswoman, in an interview with AccessWDUN Wednesday afternoon.
Construction crews will be shifting traffic while they build a wall to complete the approach to the new bridge.
"Once that temporary barrier wall is there, there won't have to be as many lane closures overnight. This will allow for that wall construction. It'll actually separate traffic from the work," said Strickland.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution when driving through construction zones.
"I understand this is going to cause delays, but this is happening overnight," said Strickland.
