By AccessWDUN Staff

One winning ticket worth $1 million was sold in Forsyth County for the Aug. 11 Powerball drawing.

According to a press release from the Georgia Lottery, winning numbers for the Aug. 11 drawing were: 5-43-56-62-68 and the Powerball was 24. The lucky ticket matched the first five winning numbers without the Powerball.

Publix Super Market #1130, located at 5475 Bethelview Road, sold the winning ticket.

A winner has not come forward to claim the prize yet. Powerball winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.

Wednesday’s Powerball jackpot is an estimated $40 million to a single annuity winner.

As with all other Georgia Lottery games, proceeds from Powerball will benefit education in the state of Georgia.
