Georgia Council for the Arts announces the recipients of its Partner, Project and Arts Education grants, and traditional arts and literary arts funding for fiscal year 2019. Two Gainesville-based groups and other organizations in northeast Georgia are included.
One hundred thirty-two organizations throughout the state were collectively awarded more than $1 million in funding.
Partner Grants were awarded to 63 organizations, including Gainesville Theatre Alliance and Voices of North Georgia; Project Grants were awarded to 36 organizations; 31 organizations received the Arts Education Program Grant; and two institutions received literary arts program funding.
Funds awarded by Georgia Council for the Arts are provided through appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
