HCSO: Suspect in rape, aggravated sodomy case taken into custody

By AccessWDUN Staff

The Flowery Branch man wanted in connection with the July 2 rape of a juvenile victim was taken into Hall County Sheriff’s Office custody on Thursday.

Investigators had obtained rape and aggravated sodomy warrants for Quinnshawn Davion Lee Millsap’s arrest on July 20.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim, a female teenager, drove from another county to Flowery Branch for a date with the suspect. Millsap, 20, had represented himself as being the same age as the victim, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

When she arrived at an address she believed belonged to Millsap’s parents, investigators believe he entered her vehicle and assaulted her, claiming to have a gun. Millsap left the scene on foot. The victim promptly reported the incident to authorities.

Millsap was booked into the Hall County Jail Thursday afternoon on charges of rape and aggravated sodomy.

Details surrounding his arrest were not immediately available.  Sheriff's office spokesman Derreck Booth said Thursday afternoon that information "won’t be available until Friday at the earliest."
