Soccer: Johnson boys stay perfect in 8-5A; East Hall boys, North Hall girls take 7-3A wins

RABBITTOWN — Class 3A No. 2-ranked East Hall ran its unbeaten streak to nine games after a 3-0 shutout of North Hall in Area 7-3A action at East Hall Stadium.

Sergio Turcios scored twice and Freddy Rebollar once for the Vikings (9-2-2, 4-0 in Area 7-3A). Turcios added an assist while Maury Ibarra provided a pair assists for East Hall.

Oscar Rosas had three saves in goal and Geizi Barrientos had one save for East Hall.

 

JOHNSON BOYS 5
CEDAR SHOALS 0

Michael Arcia had a goal and two assists and Marco Vazquez had two goals to lead the Knights to a shutout win in Area 8-5A action.

The victory kept Johnson (9-2-2, 4-0 Area 8-5A) one-half game ahead of Clarke Central in the area standings.

Villanel Albarran and Junior Arellano each scored one goal while Rigo Campa also addedone assist. Cooper Bowen and Isias Castaneda split the shutout win in goal.

It was another stout defensive effort by the Knights, who limited the Jaguarsto just 4 shots on the night. Johnson had 31 shots on goal.

 

NORTH HALL GIRLS 10
EAST HALL 0

Maddie Cook scored four goals and Kadie Sullens had two to lead the Lady Trojans to the blowout win.

Michell Tymchuk, Leah Smith, Myra Zimmerman and Lauren Tymchuk all had one goal for the Lady Trojans.

Kadie Sullens, Alex Sayen, and Gabby Lowder all saw action in goal for North Hall, which is off until April 10th before taking on Lakeview at at home.

 

THURSDAY
LAKEVIEW ACADEMY BOYS 4
TOWNS COUNTY 1

The Lakeview Academy boys got two goals apiece from Bryce Kimball and Nick Brock in taking a Region 8-A win on the road.

Daniel Bulos, Coleman Pethel and Mani Reddy all had assists for the Lions (3-9, 2-2 Region 8-A). Will Drury recorded the win in goal with four saves.

It was the second win in three days for Lakeview after just one win in the first six weeks of the season.
