Hart County murder suspect awaiting extradition to Georgia

Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland today reported the capture of Hart County murder suspect Tyrus Lyntrail Clark.

Clark, 40, was arrested in Anderson, S.C., about 9 p.m. Monday, March 5.

About 8 a.m. Friday, March 2, the Hart County Sheriff’s Office received a call of suspicious activity on Eagle Grove School Road, Cleveland reported. When deputies arrived, they discovered the body of Marilyn Patrice Rucker Clark, 43.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Bureau of Investigation obtained an arrest warrant for Tyrus Clark for murder.

In a written update on the case, Cleveland thanked SLED, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson Police Department, Hartwell Police Department, the GBI, Georgia Department of Natural Resources and other agencies for their help with the case.

Clark was detained in Anderson County, S.C., pending extradition to Hart County.
