In Gainesville, people assembled at the intersection of E.E. Butler and Jesse Jewell parkways from 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the annual Life Chain event, designed as a show of opposition to abortion.

Also on Sunday, Oct. 7 demonstrators gathered in Flowery Branch at Spout Springs and Porter roads from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
