A teacher and coach at a high school in Johns Creek is accused of molesting a 13-year-old he met on a dating app.
Chattahoochee High social studies teacher Preston Paris, age 32, was arrested Monday and charged with statutory rape, child molestation and enticing a child for indecent purposes. Paris also was a volleyball coach and assistant swim coach at the school, which is located on Taylor Road in Johns Creek.
Authorities say the two met on the dating app Tinder and had a sexual relationship. They say Paris picked the girl up from her Cobb County home and took her to his Roswell apartment where the two engaged in sexual acts.
The school says Paris has been "separated from our district." Chattahoochee High School is in the Fulton County School District.
Paris is expected to appear in court Tuesday.
