State Bank names Frierson to lead Gainesville division

State Bank Financial Corporation chose a long-time Gainesville banker to fill the position of Market President in Gainesville.

Chip Frierson brings 32 years of banking experience to the role; Freirson previously served as Senior Vice President of National Bank of Georgia until it was acquired by State Bank in 2016.

“Gainesville has and always will be my home, and I’m thrilled to continue serving this community as market president for State Bank,” said Frierson. “I’m deeply passionate about serving the families and businesses in this region, and I look forward to building on over 30 years of longstanding relationships.”

Frierson also has served on the boards of several local agencies including the United Way of Hall County, Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier, North Georgia Community Foundation, Georgia Mountains YMCA, The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Hall County and Challenged Child and Friends.
