A man was reportedly struck by lightning while on a personal watercraft in Lake Blue Ridge on the Fourth of July.
The Georgia DNR reported the incident as part of their Saturday statewide boating report. It reportedly happened at around 4:30 p.m. near the Blue Ridge Marina.
"Game wardens received a call regarding a possible boating incident," the DNR's report said. "Upon arrival, it was determined that an 18-year-old male was struck by lightning while operating a personal watercraft."
The man was taken from the scene to Blue Ridge Medical Center. He was listed in stable condition at last report.
