A 29-year-old man has been identified as the victim of a storm-related accident in Jackson County Tuesday night.
Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum says Jason Lee Combs was killed when a tree fell into the bedroom of his home in the Cambridge Farms subdivision in Hoschton.
"West Jackson Fire Department responded and worked diligently to free Mr. Combs from the tree," Mangum wrote in an email.
Mangum said Combs' wife and children were also in the bedroom of the home, but they were not injured.
The accident happened around 9:30 p.m.
