BLAIRSVILLE — Elijah Crook scored with two seconds left to lift Riverside Military Academy to thrilling and miraculous 3-2, come-from-behind win over Union County Friday night in non-region soccer action.
Crook's game-winner came after Javier Bravo sent the ball inside the box on a throw in. The Panthers were not ble to clear the ball and Crook was able to settle the ball with seven seconds left and blast a shot past the keeper moments later.
Union County took a 1-0 lead into halftime. The Panthers pushed their to 2-0 with ut 15 minutes and looked to have things in control.
But Yan Olea-Perez on an assist by Manuel Chivaca cut the lead to 2-1 with 10 minutes left. Five minutes later Samuel Palmer scored to tie the game 2-2 an set up the final frantic minutes.
Riverside next will play host to Athens Christian on Tuesday.
