FLOWERY BRANCH — The Flowery Branch girls opened their Region 8-AAAAA soccer schedule in convincing style with a 10-0 shutout of Cedar Shoals Friday night. 10-0 in our first region game of the season. Halie Windish and Allyson Lusco had two goals apiece for the Lady Falcons (4-3, 1-0 Region 8-AAAAA).
Morgan Wadsworth, Megan Shadbolt, Anna Grady, and Callie Huff had a goal and an assist each. Glorismel Chavez added a goal for Flowery Branch.
Jessica Light also had one assist and Kelsey Mathis and Catie Hughey combined for he shutout in goal for the Lady Falcons.
The Lady Falcons next will play host to Buford on Tuesday in another 8-AAAAA matchup.
