GAINESVILLE — The East Hall boys soccer team improved its season record to 5-0 with a 10-0 win over Lakeview Academy. The Lady Lions knocked off the East Hall girls 4-0 in the first game.
In the boys game, Carlos Castrejon scored two goals, Sergio Turcios had two goals and an assist to lead the Vikings. Jairo Valdez scored one goal and Maury Ibarra scored a goal and had two assists for East Hall. Oscar Gonzalez scored one goal and Ben Kisebwe and Brandon Callahan each scored a goal and had an assist. Brian Holcomb scored on a penalty kick while David Salazar, Kevin Bran and Freddy Rebollar each had one assist for East Hall.
In the girls game, Esther Suen scored off a Carmen Wagner assist to give the Lady Lions a 1-0 lead going into halftime. Wagner then scored twice in the second half with assists from Meredith Tucker. Tucker scored the final goal for Lakeview (4-2). Ansley Rochester also recorded her third shutout of the year in goal for the Lady Lions.
The Lady Vikings fell to 2-3 on the season. Carly Cox had 12 saves in goal for the Lady Vikings.
