Governor Nathan Deal plans to declare Friday "Falcons Friday" in a ceremony Thursday.
Deal will unveil the proclamation ahead of Super Bowl Sunday.
This is just one of several spirit events happening in regards to the game. Flowery Branch Mayor Mike Miller has a friendly wager with the Foxborough, Mass., town chairman.
The Falcons will take on the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
