Kim Copeland has left his seat on the Hall County Elections Board, officials announced earlier this month.
Michelle Sanchez will fill the spot Copeland had held beginning in May 2007.
Sanchez has previously made a name for herself in politics, running for state representative in 2016. She also spoke out against current Election Board Chair Dr. Tom Smiley due to his engagement with the media, specifically on WDUN's Morning Talk. Copeland also made comments that Smiley's political talkshow conversations could make him non-partisan.
