Following a month's delay in the process, Suwanee City Council has given its approval to a townhome development off of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, near Eva Kennedy Boulevard.
Halifax Enterprises, LLC, will build 49 townhomes on the 6.1-acre tract of land, which sits behind the Sherwin Williams store that fronts Peachtree Industrial, according to city documents.
The plan was set to come to a vote on Oct. 24, but developers wanted to tweak the site plan before a final vote could be held.
Council approved the rezoning request 4-2, with Beth Hilscher and Dick Goodman casting the dissenting votes, according to Marty Allen, city manager.
The homes will likely be priced in the mid-300's, said Allen.
The Suwanee Planning Commission had previously recommended approval of the development.
