The Hall County Master Gardeners Expo returns to the Chicopee Woods Ag Center Friday and Saturday.
“Gardeners are students, always learning about new techniques, tools and plants. The Expo has garden and plant experts who love to educate beginners and the experienced. Fall is the best time to plant so that you have a beautiful spring,” said Fall Expo Chairperson Meg Pate in a recent news release.
As in years past, vendors from around the Southeast will be on hand with such things as garden-themed woodworking, glassworks, pottery, tools and of course, plants.
"When you come to the Expo you will find wonderful plants and garden related items that will beautify your garden and make gardening even more enjoyable. And the best thing of all is that because the plants are sold by local growers, you can be assured they will survive in our climate," said Hall County Master Gardener President Don Linke.
There will be speakers each day, as well. Topics covered will be ‘What’s Old and New in the Fern Garden’ and ‘Lawn Care by Turf Type’ on Friday, and ‘Transplant and Divide As Your Garden Grows’ and ‘Eye Catching Color All Year Long’ on Saturday.
The gates are open on Friday, September 23 from 8:30-5:00 and on Saturday, September 24 from 8:30-4:00.
The Chicopee Woods Ag Center is located at 1855 Calvary Church Road.
