For garden lovers ready to stock up for the Spring, the Hall County Master Gardeners’ 2023 Spring Expo is taking place this weekend.

The two-day event will run Friday through Saturday with both days beginning at 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center in Gainesville.

The 2023 Expo features more than 45 garden-related vendors, an ‘Ask a Master Garder’ desk and lectures from garden experts according to Co-Chair for the 2023 Spring Expo, Bronier Costas.  Visitors will be able to win door prizes from vendor donations.

“It's a rain or shine event. So I know the weather's been predicted this gonna be awful tomorrow [Saturday], but fortunately, we're under a sheltered area,” Costas said.

Plants are not the only thing someone can buy at the Spring Expo.  In addition, food vendors and garden accessory vendors are available.  Wendy Warder owns Tea Time Chimes and makes wind chimes out of tea time cutlery and China.

“I've always collected cups and spoons and plates and I thought well I'm gonna make a chime like that. It just sort of blossomed from there,” Warder said

Attendees will find parking and public restrooms on-site.
