LEXINGTON — Josh Adair scored a pair of first half touchdowns and East Jackson won for the second consecutive time taking a 28-14 win over Oglethorpe County Friday night.
The win for the Eagles (2-1) matches their entire win total for the past two seasons and the back-to-back wins are the first for them since the 2011 season.
Adair opened the game with a 40-yard touchdown run and added a 3-yard run after Kentay Rakestraw scored on a 12-yard run for East Jackson. The Patriots trimmed the lead to 21-7 midway through the second quarter by Nathan Elrod scored on a 45-yard run to push the Eagles lead to 28-7 by halftime.
Oglethorpe County scored one second half touchdown but could get no closer.
