The canoe launch located on the Chattahoochee River at Mossy Creek Access Area in north Hall County is scheduled to temporarily close beginning Sept. 12 because of road work planned in that area.
Extensive road maintenance is planned that week with the project expected to be finished by Sept. 16, according to a press release from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. Maintenance includes grading, ditch work, new culverts, new gravel and installation of erosion control measures. DNR says the work should improve driving and parking conditions for area users.
