A child was recovered Monday unharmed after the vehicle the child was in was stolen, authorities said.
The incident occurred at the Friendly Food Mart on Athens Street in Gainesville, and appears to be an isolated incident, said Gainesville Police Cpl. Jessica Van in an email.
Both the child and the vehicle were recovered on nearby Patterson Drive by Hall County Sheriff's Deputies.
"The case in still under investigation and we are interviewing potential suspects and witnesses right now," said Van.
Authorities are expected to release more information at a later time.
