Northeast Georgia Health System announces three new administrative additions in its Compliance, Medical Informatics and Finance teams.
Steve Kelly is the new Chief Compliance Officer. In this position, Kelly is responsible for ensuring compliance with changing healthcare trends, guidelines, laws and government regulations. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University, a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh and a postgraduate law degree in Health Law from Loyola University of Chicago. He comes to NGHS from Aegis Compliance and Ethics Center, where he served as director of Compliance Consulting. Kelly began his professional career as a Judge Advocate General while in the U.S. Navy. He later worked for Rush North Shore Medical Center in Illinois, The Carle Foundation Health System and Accretive Health.
A new Chief Medical Informatics Officer has also joined NGHS. Pranav Jain, MD, is responsible for providing strategic guidance to help leverage technology throughout the healthcare system. He also focuses on improving workflow to provide actionable data during care that can help improve health outcomes for the entire community. Dr. Jain received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Jersey. Most recently, he received his certification in Health Informatics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Roy Griffin recently joined NGHS as vice president of Financial Planning and Decision Support. Griffin most recently served at Tampa General Hospital for 15 years, where he was responsible for all decision support for Tampa General. His roles have also included financial analytics, revenue management and material management information systems. Griffin received his bachelor’s degree from Alabama State University, a master’s degree in Accounting from University of South Florida and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Tampa.
