GAINESVILLE — The Lakeview Academy girls soccer team remained perfect in Region 8-A play after taking a 3-1 win over Towns County Tuesday at home.
The Lady Lions (8-3, 3-1 Region 8-A) got a hat trick from Carmen Wagner while Ansley Rochester made several key saves in goal. It was the fourth consecutive win overall for Lakeview, which holds a one game lead over Providence, whom they beat two weeks ago.
Towns County's (4-2, 2-2) only goal came off a penalty kick.
Lakeview Academy will be back in action on Friday at home taking on winless George Walton Academy. Towns County, which had a two game win streak snapped, will play host to Union County on Friday in a non-region match.
