TALLULAH FALLS — The Lakeview Academy tennis teams swept Tallulah Falls Tuesday.
The Lakeview girls took a 3-2 win winning a pair of three-set matches.
Lakeview's Damira Augustin defeated Michelle Namkung 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles but Tallulah Falls' Guiaga Kasobkogin beat Presley Jackson 6-3, 0-6, 10-7 at No. 2 singles. At No. 3 singles, the Lady Lions' Abby Gopfert rallied for a 6-3, 6-7, 10-7 win over Sophie Burke.
In doubles, Nyah Williams and Aida Roberts of Tallulah Falls beat Abby Barford and Natalie Clark 6-4, 63 at No. 1 whle Lakeview's Laney Clark and Emma Grace Martin defeated Emily Wonders/Marley Welborn 6-4, 3-6, 10-6 at No. 2 doubles.
In the boys match, Lakeview took a 4-1 victory with the only loss coming in a forfeit at No. 3 singles.
Jonathan Kirwin and Brooks Hylton both won in 6-0, 6-0 matches in singles. In doubles, Avery Jackson and Jonathan Schaefer defeated Cody Reynolds and Tim Zhang 6-2, 6-0 while William Ball and Tyler Grabau won 6-4, 7-6 over Stephen Nash and Lucas Yi.
Both the Lakeview boys and girls improved to 6-1 on the season and will play Gainesville on Wednesday. The girls will play at Longwood Park while the boys will play at the Lakeview Courts.
