Organizers say this year's Trick or Treat on the Trail in Midtown, sponsored by the Gainesville Parks and Recreation Department, had the largest turnout in the history of the event.
It took place on the Midtown Greenway in Gainesville Saturday between 3:00-5:00 p.m., and several thousand people showed up. The event was also designed to benefit the Georgia Mountain Food Bank; each participant was asked to bring a canned food item to contribute to the food bank shelves.
