MORROW — The University of North Georgia men's basketball team placed four players in double figures, but Clayton State used a late push to pick up an 83-75 Peach Belt Conference home victory on Sunday afternoon.
T.J. Williams led the Nighthawks with 20 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the floor. Sean Brennan and Tanner Plemmons added 12 points each while Ebo Smith pitched in with 12 points.
The loss extends the Nighthawks' slide to seven games as they fall to 4-15 overall and 2-10 in PBC play. Clayton State improves to 11-6 and 6-4 in league action.
Clayton's Saiquan Terry led all scorers with a game-best 27 points highlighted by 5-of-10 from behind the 3-point line. Alfonso Davis added 22 points and a team-high seven rebounds for the Lakers.
