DAHLONEGA — Due to the projected severe winter weather in the greater Atlanta area, the start times for the University of North Georgia men's and women's basketball teams' Peach Belt Conference doubleheader on Saturday Clayton State has been pushed back to a later start to allow for more time for the winter weather to clear the area. The women's game will now tipoff at 5:30 p.m. followed by a 7:30 p.m. start for the men's game.
The UNG rifle team departed campus a day early to avoid the storm and is still scheduled to compete in their first event of 2016 on Saturday at the Senior Military College Championship and Southeastern Air Rifle Conference event hosted by The Citadel in Charleston, S.C.
Locally, all University of North Georgia campuses are closed, and all classes, and activities are canceled for Friday and Saturday, January 22 and 23, 2016. The University will resume normal operations on Monday
