PEMBROKE, N.C. — Four Nighthawks scored in double figures but the University of North Georgia men's basketball team dropped a 79-73 Peach Belt Conference decision to UNC Pembroke on Saturday afternoon in UNCP's English E. Jones Center.

Sean Brennan paced North Georgia with 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. Corey Green added 13 on 6-of-7 from the field while Juan Rivas and T. J. Williams each added 11 apiece.

Michael Varrichione came off the bench to pull down a game-best 10 rebounds.

The contest featured eight ties and seven lead changes. Neither team was able to pull away as the deficit never reached double figures for either side. UNCP's largest lead was nine, 69-60, with 3:51 to play, but North Georgia was able to cut it to a single possession game twice in the final minutes.

The Braves turned the ball over only four times while forcing 17 UNG turnovers of which they converted to 21 points on the other end.
