FLOWERY BRANCH—A 150-unit assisted living facility is planned on McEver Road near Flowery Branch.
The 21.4-acre site is at the Radford Road intersection and would include a 10,000-square-foot commercial component, consisting of a cafe, snack bar, personal care salons and sports training. In addition, there would be hiking and biking trails.
The property is bordered by three single-family subdivisions: Pine Wood, Blossom Farm and White Horse Creek. Beckel Inc. is requesting that it be rezoned from Agricultural-Residential III (AR-III) to Planned Residential Development (PRD).
The Hall County Planning Commission is scheduled to consider the matter when it meets Tuesday at 5:15 at the Hall County Government Center.
About the same time, the Gainesville Planning and Appeals Board is schedule to consider an assisted living facility of similar size for the New Holland area. As AccessWDUN reported last month, that site is near Jesse Jewell Parkway and Limestone Parkway.
