GAINESVILLE — Grace Fawcett, a freshman at Chestatee High School in 2014-15, is representing Georgia at the 2015 Congress of Future Medical Leaders.

During this event, which is underway this week in Boston, Fawcett will hear from Nobel Laureates, be given advice as to how to work towards a medical career, meet teen medical science prodigies, and learn about the latest advances in medicine.

Her mother, Deanna Fawcett, credits her success to her positive learning experiences.

“I strongly believe that her love for learning and this opportunity are a direct result of the years she has been enriched through our school system, beginning with Sardis Enrichment School, to Chestatee Academy, and, now at Chestatee High.  She has been blessed to have had many outstanding Hall County teachers that pushed her beyond her average abilities and interests by emphasizing rigor.  During her freshman year, the CHS RACE program has been a great experience.   Her teacher Mr. Nick Scheman strongly motivated her to follow her passion, which is neuroscience.”
