DANIELSVILLE -- The North Hall boys tennis team advanced to the Region 8-AAAA finals with a pair of wins Tuesday in the opening day of the Region 8-AAAA tournament.
North Hall whipped rival White County 3-0 in the first round. The Trojans got wins from Jackson Davis at No. 1 singles, Dalton Patterson at No. 2 singles, and the No. 1 doubles team of Paxton Gillespie and Matt Booth.
North Hall then knocked off host Madison County, 3-1. Dalton Patterson won a long three-setter at No. 2 singles with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-4 victory over Adam Sartain and the No. 1 doubles team again of Paxton Gillespie and Matt Booth and the No. 2 doubles team of Daniel Martin and Dawson Smith.
The Trojans (11-4) will take on North Oconee on Wednesday in the finals at Madison County High School.
