The Georgia Department of Education released the SAT scores of its 181 school districts Tuesday.
The Hall County School District earned an average SAT score of 1040, the national average sits at 1003.
“These outstanding results are yet another indicator of the unwavering commitment of our students, educators, and administrators to provide opportunities for our students to be career-, work and life-ready,” Hall County School officials said in a statement.
The district said that 800 HCSD seniors took the SAT.
“It is our commitment to ensure ALL students have access to continued educational and career opportunities beyond high school. We are dedicated to providing an almost unlimited number of pathways to the future. Being the most caring place on earth demands that we equip the next generation with the skills and ideals they will need to thrive,” Superintendent Will Schofield said.
Flowery Branch High School and North Hall High School had an average SAT score of 1085.
Meanwhile, the Gainesville City School District's average sat below the national average at 955. 216 students took the SAT in the Gainesville City School District.
The average for the entire state of Georgia was 1045, sitting above the national average.
