COMMERCE -- The Jefferson baseball team won its third straight game with a 16-0, five-inning victory over East Jackson Tuesday in Region 8-AAA action.
The Dragon (10-2, 6-1 Region 8-AAA) scored in every inning and pounded out 17 hits. Micah Carpenter had three hits, four RBI, and earned the win on the mound. He struck out four in three innings and allowed just one hit.
Taylor Wilkes, Will Breese, Jake Franklin, AND Hunter Thompson each had two hits for Jefferson. Joshua Hutch, Tanner Thurmond, Asher Standridge, Josh Cole, Hunter McCaslin, and Jared Hulsey each had one hit for the Dragons.
Jefferson next will play host to East Jackson on Saturday in a Region 8-AAA double header.
