GAINESVILLE - Gainesville City Council will have swearing-in ceremonies for its two newest members on Tuesday evening.
Zack Thompson was elected to Ward 2 on November 3, and Barbara Brooks, won a December 1 runoff to become the new councilwoman for Ward 3. Both will take their oaths of office as part of Council's regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Gainesville Public Safety Building.
Ward 5 Councilwoman Ruth Bruner, who was unopposed in the November 3 General Election, will return to office for another term, and she too, will take her oath on Tuesday.
Judge G. Hammond Law III will administer the oath for all three council members, according to the agenda for Tuesday's meeting.
