CLARKESVILLE - Habersham Electric Membership Corp. is warning homeowners to beware of reported imposters.
The men, who have been in unmarked vehicles in both reported incidents, visit homes saying they are there to check the electric meters.
"All HEMC and contractor vehicles are clearly marked," says HEMC Director of Marketing and Communications Nicole Dover. "Personnel also carry photo identification and wear uniforms. Members are advised not to open the door and call 9-1-1 to report any suspicious visitors."
