GAINESVILLE - The Oxley Group and Sullivan & Schlieman Wealth Management are the winners of this year's Business Beautification Awards of Excellence from the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce.
This is the 21st year of the program.
The Oxley Group (transformingresults.com) is a training and consulting firm. It is located at 131 Green St. in a building that was a popular local gathering place in the 1950s when it was operated as a service station. The building was in need of extensive renovations when Traci and Andrew Oxley bought it, both inside and out.
Sullivan & Schlieman (sullivanandschlieman.com) is a wealth management firm specializing in financial, retirement, investment, estate and tax planning. It is located at 641 Spring Street. The building was built in the early 1900s and before Sullivan & Schlieman bought it housed the law offices of the late Wyc Orr. The firm completed a small renovation project shortly after acquiring the building last year.
The chamber http://www.greaterhallchamber.com created the beautification program to promote "attractive and well-maintained areas by publicly recognizing those who have made beautification efforts to property."
