ATLANTA (AP) -- University System of Georgia officials are expected to weigh in on a tobacco ban that would apply to all campuses in the university system.
University System spokesman John Millsaps says a committee discussed and approved the proposed ban on Tuesday and will issue a report and recommendation to the full board for final approval on Wednesday.
If adopted by the Board of Regents, the tobacco ban would affect all 31 campuses in the University System of Georgia and would take effect on July 1.
