GAINESVILLE - Dr. Tom Hardman, a Gainesville native who was director of anesthesia at Citrus Medical Center Orlando, Florida, has died. Hardman was also a world record holder in weightlifting competition.
Dr. Hardman died Friday, June 28.
He was director of Anesthesiology at Doctors Hospital in Augusta from 1986-2006 and the owner of Westside Anesthesia and Augusta Pain Management Center before selling the clinics and becoming director of anesthesia at Citrus Medical Center Orlando, Florida, in 2007, a position he held at the time of his death.
Hardman set nine Guinness World records in weightlifting.
A visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 at at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel in Gainesville.
