COMMERCE - The State Fire Marshal's Office is working to find the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a house in Nicholson late Monday night.
According to Jackson County EMA Director Steve Nichols, the two-story wood home at 2021 Hoods Mill Road in Commerce was unoccupied at the time. Nichols said the fire was discovered just after 10:30 p.m.
Nichols said units from Nicholson, Commerce and the Jackson County CI responded to the fire.
