Fall play at RMA

GAINESVILLE - Picasso at the Lapin Agile will be presented at Riverside Military Academy (RMA) Oct. 9, 10 and 13, each evening at 7:30.<br /> <br /> Picasso at the Lapin Agile was written by iconic comedian and actor Steve Martin. Set in a Parisian bar at the beginning of the 20th century, the play imagines a comical encounter between Pablo Picasso and Albert Einstein, both of whom are in their early 20s and fully aware of their amazing potential. Each character's high level of self-confidence eventually results in Picasso and Einstein challenging each other to an artistic duel.<br /> <br /> Cast of Characters<br /> <br /> Freddy, owner of the Lapin Agile: Stephen Wechsler<br /> <br /> Gaston, patron of the Lapin Agile: Guialteau Buissereth<br /> <br /> Germaine, Freddy's girlfriend: Aleah Skaggs<br /> <br /> Albert Einstein, a scientist: Christian Rotsch<br /> <br /> Suzanne, a young woman: Kayla Lowry<br /> <br /> Sagot, an art dealer: Demarko Hooper<br /> <br /> Pablo Picasso, a painter: Chris Rosato<br /> <br /> Schmendiman, an inventor: Patrick Sheffield<br /> <br /> The Countess, a countess: Lauren LaRicci<br /> <br /> Woman, a young woman: McKenzie Bowen<br /> <br /> Singer, a singer from the 50s: Raleigh Beougher<br /> <br /> Performances will be held in the Sandy Beaver Theater and are free and open to the public.
