Public invited to NGTC photography class Graduation Showcase

By Staff
CLARKESVILLE - North Georgia Technical College's (NGTC) Photography Program invites the public to its upcoming showcase of graduating students' work on Tuesday, July 31, at 5:00.

The reception is being held on the Clarkesville campus in the Visual Technology building. All 20 members of the Class of 2012 will display photographs including portraiture, landscape, product, fashion, children, and wedding photography as well as graphic design and multimedia.

Each student has spent the last two years perfecting his or her craft and learning various techniques from the three instructors: Jeff Gulle, Jim Loring, and Ginger Moseley. With field trips that ranged from visits to Stone Mountain, the Georgia Aquarium, and local waterfalls, to an opportunity to participate in a fashion shoot with a supermodel, students were given many opportunities to stretch their talents and techniques.

"The students always impress me with the quality and impact of their images and the depth of their creativity," Gulle said.

Hundreds of pieces of photographic art will fill the NGTC Visual Tech lobby, hallways, and studios. Each student will have framed art as well as printed portfolios, marketing materials, and coupons for visitors.

"The grad show has become an anticipated event as each class gets better and better," Moseley added. "I look forward to seeing how the community responds to this amazing group of photographers."
