ATLANTA - Hot weather continues across Georgia, and the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for portions of the state.
The weather service says highs around the state on Tuesday should range from 94 to 100 degrees, a little cooler in the mountains. Highs of 95 to 103 are forecast for Wednesday, with temperatures dropping only a little by the end of the week.
There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday, and again Thursday through Saturday.
The heat advisory is for the middle portion of the state, including the cities of Columbus and Macon.
