CLARKESVILLE - A 62-year-old Demorest man died over the weekend after falling from a boat while fishing in a Habersham County lake.
Habersham County Coroner Kasey McEntire says Carl Tart fell from the boat on Lake Russell about noon Saturday. McEntire said Tart's wife was in the boat with him at the time and that the cause of death is pending an autopsy report.
According to the Habersham County Web site, Lake Russell is a 100-acre reservoir located southeast of Cornelia.
