Cause of N. Hall fire under investigation

GAINESVILLE - The cause of a late afternoon house fire Monday in North Hall remains under investigation.

Hall County Fire Chief David Kimbrell said "neighbors reported hearing explosions (but) that isn't confirmed."

Kimbrell says when the first units got there, they found that the house was "already falling in."

"Everything," he added, "had fallen into (the) basement" of the 900-square-foot dwelling. (An) investigator went out (but was) unable to do much because of amount of heat" but will follow up later.
