SAUTEE-Yonah Mountain Vineyards is excited to announce the release of its 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon. This inaugural Cabernet Sauvignon is a muscular red wine with aromatics of black current and toasted oak. On the palette, this wine has flavors of rich lush berry and caramel.
The release party for the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon will be held at the Yonah Mountain Vineyards tasting room in Sautee-Nacoochee on Saturday, April 16. Live music and hors d'oeuvres will be offered from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. All are welcome for tastings and wine sales.
Yonah Mountain Vineyards has expanded its Tour de la Cave & Barrel Sampling to twice a month. Wine lovers may join winemaker Joe Smith and his wife Tina on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month to visit Yonah Mountain Vineyards near Cleveland. They taste barrel samples of future vintages and return to the tasting room for a full tasting, which includes the Yonah Mountain Vineyards glass. Reservations and pre-payment are required.Coming in May is Taste of Sautee, a festival of Fine Wine, Food, Music and Art.
This one day event will be held Saturday, May 21 at Sautee Village, 2454 Highway 17. It is sponsored by Yonah Mountain Vineyards and InsideOut Sautee. Taste of Sautee will feature four wineries: Yonah Mountain Vineyards and Serenity Cellars, Sautee Nacoochee Vineyards, Habersham Winery and Crane Creek Vineyards of Young Harris.
