GAINESVILLE -- The North Hall girls tennis team edged rival Chestatee 3-2 on Tuesday in Gainesville.
The Lady Trojans defeated the Lady War Eagles at No. 1 and 2 singles and No. 1 doubles to secure the victory.
North Hall's Rachel Wright defeated Tiffany Poole, 6-4, 6-4, at No. 1 singles, while teammate Morgan Van Meter took out Fernanda Arcaraz, 6-4, 3-6, 6-0, at No. 2 singles.
Chestatee's Lily Kiang fought back at No. 3 singles with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Mary Catherine Martin.
But Valerie Bohannon/Kari Butts claimed a victory at No. 1 doubles over Emily Elder/Sarah Beth Tankersley 0-6, 6-4, 6-2.
North Hall plays West Hall in a non-subregion game on Wednesday at Alberta Banks Park.
