Man drowns in Lake Lanier

LAWRENCEVILLE - Authorities have identified a 66-year-old man who drowned in Lake Lanier.

Gwinnett County police spokesman Cpl. Jake Smith says the man was discovered in the lake Wednesday by a neighbor. Police identified the victim as Roy Belrose of Buford.

Smith says it's not known whether Belrose fell off a boat or from a dock or got into the water some other way.

Smith says officers do not suspect foul play.
