Gainesville's 41st MLK Day celebration is Mon.

GAINESVILLE - The 41st Annual MLK Celebration takes place in Gainesville Monday.

The of this year's observance of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday is "Change We Must Believe, Change We Must Achieve."
It begins with a march that starts at 1:00 at the SunTrust parking lot in downtown Gainesville and ends at Fair Street School.

At 3:00, in the school gym, a special program will be held with guest speaker Gwendolyn Keyes Fleming, Regional Administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency's Atlanta office.

In addition, there will be a panel discussion featuring Hall County Commissioner Ashley Bell; Gainesville Superintendent of Schools Merrianne Dyer; Jerry Gonzalez, executive director of the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials; and, Gainesville attorney Wyc Orr.
